Obituary
Mr. William Allen Taylor, Jr. was born October 11, 1957 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late William Allen Taylor, Sr. and the late Carrie Counts Flemon. He passed away on March 27, 2023.
Mr. Taylor attended Newberry County Schools and Midlands Technical College. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of St. Mark’s AME Church.
Mr. Taylor was predeceased by his brother, Leonard Rayford Counts, step-father, Joe Louis Flemon, Sr.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his step-mother, Marlene Flemon of Pomaria, SC; siblings. Mickley Taylor of Nashville, TN, Carriett F. Bowers (special brother-in-law Terry) of Newberry, SC, Sheryle Cureton (Russell) of Columbus, OH, Joe L. Flemon, Jr. (Sharon) of Newberry, SC, Donell Hall (Rebecca) of Chapin, SC and James Rayford Hall of Columbia, SC; two aunts, Hattie M. Morehead of Columbus, OH and Tanitha Flemon of Columbia, SC, uncle, Thomas Flemon of Pomaria, SC, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends at the home of Terry and Carriett Bowers, 58 Devon Road, Newberry, SC.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
